I've arrived

Austin is hot and wonderful. Full of friendly people. Already have a Texas license plate on two cars. Ahhh. Back to predictable processes. I am in my part of the world.

I HAPPEN to be a citizen of Heaven, not necessarily a Texan or an American citizen, although legally I am those things now, too. I do enjoy roaming portions of our planet and exploring and experiencing new things, but I have learned to value habits in a new way. There is something wonderful about driving down a street and knowing the lay of the land. There is something wonderful about knowing Walmart is just down that road there and remembering how to navigate something like the intersection of 183 and mopac from all four directions.

Me, Steve and Sarah are WORN OUT--it was a VERY long drive from Long Island! More than 30 hours! So much packing, so much sorting, so much to transport.

Now we pray God will sell the house to an eager, qualified buyer and bless them with the wonderful house that we really enjoyed. The New York house goes on sale July 1st. God blessed us with a sale within the week on the last two times. I know His blessings never run out. I ask for another great blessing.

Time to get into another routine of doing my work for Trinity Global Development. I miss connecting with everyone and I love reporting on our children. The team has done a great job and we have really stepped up individualized care. The newsletter is coming out soon -- share your comments with me! I love to hear from you!

Blessings to each of you, all my family, friends, churches, and Trinity.
May God be praised in our lives and hearts and in our communities, in Jesus' name!

We are moving AGAIN

And it won't be the last move.
(sigh)

I was listening to a song,
"The time has come to stand for all we believe in.
and I for one am going to give my praise to You.
Today's the day, it's all or nothing, to give you praise in everything I do,
yeah, my praise goes out to You."

so I decided I would head that way emotionally.
Starting with Praise God my face is clear! I don't have a pimple right now!
which is hilarious. I am in menopause. Should I still HAVE pimples?

I am sad that I have blogged so little and with so many wonderful things happening in Kenya.
I wish I were more faithful lately to pass on all the information given to me. Steve has been home, though, and has used his time to go places with me. As an executive, you can imagine he is rather busy at home in his head even when he is away from work. He is enjoying the time to think of other things and we were gearing up to go camping but we just won't be able to fit it in. For one thing, I have known I MUST see my precious New York friends, whom I adore and will miss terribly. Yesterday, I saw Jianwen, today I saw Candy, and tomorrow I see Diane and Angel. I am SOOOOO SAD that I won't get to see Sisi (although next time she is in Florida: ROAD TRIP!) and that Geralyn had to postpone their Hampton's party until June 22 (I'm crying and grouchy.)

But God proves Himself faithful to send you His Body, the Body of Christ in so many beautiful people. Where would I have been without True North Bible Study? FPU? the Women's Retreat and UPTOWN---WOOOOO!

I praise God for the beautiful people that are the diamonds of New York. You made it all worthwhile.

HARDSHIPS IN A CHRISTIAN JOURNEY

by Jackson Nerrickson of Trinity Global Development Kenya

In life we face many trying and stressful situations, hardships and uncertainties in many different forms. All of us have our “gray days” when God’s light goes behind a cloud. This becomes the most challenging times for every Christian. During the time, it is easy for most of us to complain, give up and walk away from these challenges. We start blaming those around us, fall into depression, and feel sad and powerless. God says in James 1:2 to consider it joy when we encounter trials. Notice God does not say if but when. The Christian life is a journey full of trials and tribulations. God takes us on different paths to bring us closer to Him and more like Jesus, Our savior.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

God uses all our trials for good. There is nothing that happens to a Christian that catches Him by surprise. Every hardship that comes our way has been sieved through His mighty hand. Every temptation cannot exceed our capability to overcome it (1 Corinthians 10:13). It will be easier if we get to understand that we are safe when we dwell under God’s umbrella of love.

God wants to bring victory to His children. His main purpose is to see us overcome the enemy and live lives full of joy. He only expects us to trust and obey, to walk right with Him, to be part of His salvation plan to the whole human race. We must develop personal relationship with God. There is no way we will enjoy the fruits of salvation unless we purpose to love the Lord with everything that we have (John 14:23). The devil uses our weaknesses to trick us into sin and then snatch us away from the presence of God. Sin brings doubt but you will worry less if you are sure that you are right with God in every situation you go through.

Hardships are not always results of our disobedience to God. This is where many of us get it wrong. Job was a faithful servant of the Lord, yet he went through great trials. His tribulations were not as a result of sinning against God, it was God’s plan to glory Himself. Everything that happens to a child of God happens for a reason. It is through hardships that we come to realize the great and faithful God we serve.

It doesn‘t matter what you are going through; May it be financial hardship, marital hardship, relationships, health hardships, rejection from the people around you, or any other serious problem? I want you to know that you are not alone and all is not lost. Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer” No way can God ever forget you. He carries your name engraved on the palms of His hands. Depend on it! We must endure. Even the greatest saints endured deep sadness. The prophets and the apostles were distressed at some point and some even almost gave up. What really kept them going despite the difficulties? They knew for sure that God was with them and He had a purpose over their lives. True faith is tested by trials. Jesus despite being God was tempted by the devil; but He defeated him by the scripture.

The bible is full of God’s promises. These promises are not for other people. They are for God’s children, those who have purposed with a genuine heart to serve him. He says we’ve liberty, we have dominion and above all we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). You may be having some questions: why me? For how long? Why does God seem so far away? Let me assure you that you are not alone. God is with you. He has promised to be with you until the end of age. (Mathew 28:20) He can never leave you. He is never later to come to our rescue. His timing is the best.

The main problem with most of us is that we expect instant answers to our prayers. If there is a delay, we start looking for options and sometimes give up completely. This makes our situation even worse. Patiently waiting upon the Lord is what God expects from us. Having faith and trusting in Him only produces great fruits. God wants our total dependence on Him. There is nothing that can defeat Him. He is a God of impossibilities and He never fails. The mistake that we do is to start making conclusions when we go through such horrible moments. We conclude that God is punishing us more than we deserved or we did not do any wrong to experience the situation. Don’t fret when tempted because God wants to glorify Himself through you. Just know that no matter what you are going through, joy will be the end result.

The trick that the devil normally uses is to try to convince you that God does not care about you. There is a time I was feeling this way after experiencing the deaths of three members of my family in a row. I had spent sleepless nights praying and fasting. I was so young in salvation and did not know much about salvation. I wept before the Lord and I could spend the whole day at church. But my sister still died. God’s will is final whether He answers according or against our will. There is always a profitable reason why He allows that incidence to those who love Him. Remember we are at His service and He is the one who chose us and gave us an opportunity to be called His children. It is by grace that we have been saved.

In this world we must suffer because we are not of the world. The world will hate us but we must endure. There awaits us a great reward and a crown (John 16:33).

WHEN IN THE MIDIST OF HARDSHIPS:

Pray

1Thessalonians 5:17

Pray without ceasing.

God expects us to pray. He says we should ask and it will be given to us. Don’t worry over anything. Never speak negatively, don’t complain. Tell God every detail of your needs in earnest and thankful prayer. It is through prayer that we develop deep friendship with God. Listen to Him in prayer. He is the best comforter in the times of sorrows. Sometimes there must be delays and He will expect you to wait with patience. Forgive those who have hurt you and those bringing pain to you. Be genuine with God and share your feeling with Him. Don’t pretend you are happy when you are under great sorrow. Ask friends, church members and faithful servants to stand with you in prayer. God will definitely turn your situation upside down.

Read the word

Sock yourself deep into the word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. There are great comforting verses in the bible. You will find more verses and promises that speak to your situation. Claim those promises and remind God who is the same yesterday, today and forever. Read encouraging messages from the anointed men of God. There are many stories in the bible that can be compared with your story. Learn how God saved them from their situation.

Praise and worship

Don’t isolate yourself from the house of praise. Praise brings great victory and praise keeps Christ king in our lives.

You may face giants you cannot conquer, needs you cannot meet but count it all joy! God is on your side. Your battles are His battles. He is the one in control. It is easy to have doubts. Satan uses these tricks to bring you down. Remember his aim is to steal and destroy. But God has a question for you (Jeremiah 32:27). It is never too late for Him. He provides a door for escape in the middle of trouble. Doubt will come, but you need to believe that God is working (James1:2-12).

The Lord will strengthen you. Your friends can let you down but God will never betray your friendship. There is no time to lose your nerve! Victory is within your grasp. Press on!! Don’t stop! (2nd Cor. 5:21)

Beautifully Dressed

I love to see these children dressed in their beautiful clothes. Those outfits are given by our sponsors! Chosen by our Kenyan staff! We are so thankful to see how God has blessed these young ones who did not choose their circumstances. We pray they use their blessings to advance themselves in this world, come out of poverty and shine their light of blessing upon others in their communities. Let them be life changers. Let them be the ones who guard and protect. Let them be the men and women of integrity who lead as servants and give their lives to the Glory of God and spread the good news of Jesus to the suffering. We will all rejoice together in heaven. Until then, let us uphold them in prayer. Let us see to their needs without breaking their drive to grow, but encourage them always in their every good effort. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to be Your hands and feet!

Good Mothers

A good mother does not make a one legged child jump hurdles-- but she requires the child to hop.
That won't be easy for the child.
The bad mother sympathizes and feels sorry for the one legged child and puts the child in a wheelchair to push them around.
The child never walks.

Friends, be sure to learn to hop!

On that list, Steve is a Ruler and I am mainly Teacher, but again, part Exhorter, part Mercy.
As a Myers Briggs ENFP, I do not have the detailed mind/personality needed for Teacher!
But I am not evangelistic, like most Exhorters who never meet strangers. I am terrible with strangers!

Welcome dear partner!
We bless you with Grace and Peace filling all of our Trinity Global Development family and pouring out to others. You are a unique blessing from God! March 2013 brings elections to Kenya and may God usher in a new era of justice and peace. May God release the people into their destiny! We pray specifically for Bishop Titus Khamala to be elected in his district. God bless our election workers with integrity and faithfulness. May a spirit of generosity and unity fill the country as they overcome tribal differences and grow to serve one another, celebrating and embracing their diversity. This is a pivotal moment in the natural and there is such a stirring in the supernatural! May God be glorified as we seek to be His hands and feet bringing hope and encouragement to His Beloved ones.

Our Garden is Growing

Derrick took our children through the entire process of transplanting seedlings to the seedbed, explaining every step one by one.Wallace, Valary and Daisy join the regular team of Asman, Paul, Yvonne, Ben and Noel. One of the new TGD volunteers, Juma Lutomi, assisted as Derrick's apprentice. Paul even brought his young cousin so he could learn, too.

The children transplanted the seedlings, then used twigs and leaves to protect them from the harsh sunshine before watering them. The participation was very encouraging and the children were eager to do it the entire day, although it was unrealistic. They had to go get some light late lunch and get back home for Sunday preparations.

The rains seem to be subsiding, paving way to a seemingly hot and sunny  season.
Regular watering has, however, seen the seedlings very successfully survive the harsh weather, up to this transplanting stage.
Along with the weather changes, come new challenges; water containers. We need a 1,000 litre water container and five 20-litre containers for storing and fetching water. Just a few donations should take us there! Pray with us for provision which God has so faithfully provided. We are so grateful!!

Goats and Chickens (Treasured Gifts)!

It is hard to explain how this gifts have changed the face of  homes that received them. When David and I (Jack) visited Elizabeth's home, we came to realize how these homes treasure the gifts that they received. The grandma to Lydia and Elizabeth had no better way of saying thanks. When this old granny saw us, she rushed to make tea for us and welcomed us with a lot of joy. She is the one who is in charge of the gifts and she believes that these will multiply and enable her to sell and buy a cow which will be producing milk for the family. In our culture, owning goats, sheep, cows and other domestic animals is a great pride to that home.

Elizabeth and Lydia narrated to us how the whole village has been asking them where they got these animals since the villagers know that they are so poor that they can't afford to buy even one. God has changed their story through precious donors. These girls told us to pass a lot of thanks to donors.
They normally help their granny grazing the animals after school and their joy is seeing their granny happy and the gifts have added life in this old granny who is 70 years plus.
Work in Kenya

Employment Opportunity with IEBC?

What's the big news in Kenya? March 4th 2013, Kenya will hold its general elections. It will be one of its own kind ever since the inception of the nation 50 years ago. Citizens will elect six leaders in a row: The president, governor, senator, members of parliament, women representatives and the county ward representatives. In the past, we voted for the president, members of parliament, and councilor. Pray for peace over the country and our friends.

This year's election transitions from the manual way to an electronic system of registration. Information technology has been embraced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), which is the body in charge of boundaries and elections in Kenya. This change created employment opportunities for computer literate Kenyans. Out of the 380 polling clerks recruited in Lurambi Constituency, six of them are products of TGD computer community training centre. Congratulations to Derrick Ommani, Oscar Amaya, Vincent Makuba, Dorcas Ogolla, Judith Nanjala and Juma Lutomi.

For ten days, our staff members work for IEBC as polling clerks earning $15 per day. They are a product of your worthy input and sponsorship.
Glory to God for because of you! Trinity Global Development is turning young people's dreams into reality, building a better tomorrow for each and every one of them.

Sharon and Wallace Join High School

Sharon and Wallace did an excellent job on their high school entrance exams! They managed to receive calling letters from different high schools.
March is going to be a busy month for them as they strive to acclimatize to a boarding high school.
They are stepping into a new system of life as each endeavors to fulfill a particular dream.

Wallace moves closer to his ambition as an accountant while Sharon's dream of becoming a nurse begins to look possible. Entry into high school marks the beginning of the realization of a bright future. New friends, teachers, timetable and academic content await our two sponsored children.

As we thank God for bringing Wallace and Sharon this far, let's keep praying for them that the Lord will continually provide them with a sound mind, good health, finances to take care of their stay in high school and above all, a deep and abiding relationship with Him. We also thank Kevin Rivers and Cyntreva Paige for their support of these young hopefuls!

Psalm 84

1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts!
2 My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
3 Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
6 As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.
7 They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.
8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
9 Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed!
10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!

Beloved!

Oh, how He loves us.

1 John 4:19 WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.

and maybe you know John 3:16? Can you declare it outloud with passion...

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD....... (declare it out loud as a prayer,
God! You so loved...)

What a generous lover we have.

and so I found myself encouraging the saints on facebook to love one another. One precious strong Christian had posted John 3:16 and also a blog post from another Christian who was commented on the negative Christians who posted about the superbowl and halftime. She viewed them as misguided souls. She was declaring that we should not judge-- within her post about judging. And so this seemed a perfect opportunity to discuss this within the body of Christ.

First!
I, TOO, AM JUDGING!
and I am not pretending that I am not a hypocrite. Sad truth is that at times I am judgmental about those judging. And I can have critical judgment on near about anything. However, I want us to go beyond our judging and our fear of judging.

Second, judging in the sense of deciding about something is an absolute necessity in life although on some matters, you can just choose not to decide about it as ONE of those options in your deciding.
:-)

For example, when you cross the street, you have to decide if it is safe. You aren't being judgmental when you decide it is NOT GOOD to cross right now while the cars are whizzing past you. Likewise, you can decide it is NOT GOOD to watch the Superbowl, then suddenly WHOOPS! Someone says you are "jugdmental." Oh, come on.

So let me share with you another higher way.

Recognize that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers. What this means is that God says we really do not have the argument with people, but with demons and evil forces in the world trying to propel ungodly thoughts, ideas, and actions into our lives and against each other.

Recognize that our culture has developed a new way of attacking Christians. I would say that the spirit of the antiChrist in the world, or ....all that goes against exalting Jesus in media, conversations, ideas, books, blogs, lewd cartoons and photographs, etc......have developed a new way to shut us down.

THE TOLERANCE GAME.

This tolerance is not the avoidance of judgment presented in Romans 2. In Romans 2, we acknowlege that when we look at someone and call them bad, these are the SAME THINGS IN OUR HEARTS and we sin when we cannot acknowlege that. In fact, if these sins are not yet developed in your life, you will find them coming out so that you learn and know what it is like to be that person you judged. This would be a good reason to avoid judging murderers and other horrific criminals because we never want to come to a full "understanding" of what led them to such behavior. Let us forgive them, agreeing that the sin was horrible, but the person was created by God and we forgive them of their wrongdoing. We can forgive because from the day we cried as a newborn, we were exhibiting our will and attempting a demand for comfort. (No condemnation on precious babies!) We wanted to rule our world from the beginning and we have sinned against God in this and many other overt wrongs, yet He has forgiven us through the perfect blood of Jesus Christ who died in our place. Therefore, we forgive others even if they have abused us mightily because no one can sin against us in this life nearing the quanity and quality of our offense against the rightful Lord of the Universe and our lives. This forgiveness and lack of judgment is not tolerance.

Tolerance is the new way to shut down a Christian. By their own fear of man, today's Christian feels they are not allowed to be viewed as intolerant. In history past, this was never the argument against the evangelist. Now it is the label to be avoided at all costs. No one wants to be labeled religious and mean. Rather than loving others and telling them that Jesus offers forgiveness for sins, Christians are straitjacketed into paralysis.

Instead, I encourage us all to look at Jesus anew. LOOK AT OUR LOVING LORD JESUS! We must take our eyes off those who accuse us. Get ourselves filled up with the forgiveness Jesus gave us and worship Him for His power over sin.  Let the love He has for us so fill us up that we can afford to be attacked, criticized and condemned. When we love others and share Jesus and get that "intolerant" label, just LOVE. Keep loving. Keep loving. Yes, it will get hard because you are not perfected, but die to your own defensiveness and self-protection and allow Jesus to fill you up and pour out love extended to that critic. God bless them! We are completely safe in the love of Jesus. We don't have to prove it or attack back.

Another way of stating it is that we are to walk the talk--not talk it. But the Word says that people need to hear the message. So ignore that. You ARE walking the walk and you will still get that attack. Every person alive probably has SOME area worthy of a little accusation, so shrug that off. We claim that Jesus is perfect and loving and good. We claim to be forgiven and to have His life in us giving us love for others. So, show that love of Jesus RIGHT THERE. When you are accused of your weaknesses. You can afford it! You are clean through Jesus. You do not need to defend anything.

(For example, if someone were to say something to me like....well, you have never had children. I would hardly take that accusation bitterly because I have had children and it is just a fact. So a false accusation doesn't land on me. It sounds silly and wrong. If someone says I am stupid or fat or mean or ridiculous, so what if that is true? I am loved by God and I can handle someone attacking me about things meant to make me feel small and insignificant. Because God loves and accepts me, I can just shrug off those attacks --of course, I am going to struggle!--- and if someone says I am a religious bigot, they are just wrong. I am not. And I am trying to love them. and I will try to love them RIGHT THEN and RIGHT THERE. Even if they are vicious liars and opposing me. Obviously, this is a growth area for many of us and we can get there because of the perfection of Jesus and if you actually ACT like a religious bigot, there is forgiveness and you can keep growing! Nothing has to set you back in your growth to become like Jesus! Because He who promises is faithful!)

Okay, Christians, if you are so loving, why aren't you LOVING the one that criticizes? So you are going to keep your mouth shut about sin in "sinners" because you are so loving, but you are on the prowl for those who are "bashing." So sad. The unbelievers look to see if we are even good at loving each other---oops.

Try again. Try to grow in Christ-likeness. Try to love non-Christians and Christians. Try to love BAD Christians! Not by tolerating but by sharing forgiveness. We CAN preach repentance. Jesus did.

We CAN love sinners, tax collectors, prostitutes, and Pharisees! We can love Judas. Can you imagine Jesus loving Judas for three years. So can you! Because Christ lives in you.

My hope is that we will not bash each other, or anyone. But that we would be able to fearlessly oppose accusations that we are prideful or intolerant because we proclaim Jesus is the only way to God. HE IS.

We are not prideful when we say Jesus is Lord. If you just cannot grow past your fear of man, take baby steps by proclaiming Jesus at all times. You do not have to speak AGAINST anyone or anything, but always proclaim Jesus in the positive! Preach to Muslims, Jesus is the way. You are not commenting on anything they think or believe, you are only proclaiming Jesus in the positive. Proclaim to Jews, Jesus is the way. Proclaim to the homosexual community, Jesus is the way. Proclaim to Christians, Jesus is the way. Proclaim in the media. Jesus is the way to God.

But remember to love the ones who are negative and critical. You aren't doing anyone any favors by pointing out the weaknesses of the critical people. Remember to love them. Forgive them.

Remember the reason YOU LOVE is that God first loved you. You were created in His image and so were His other created human beings. All are worthy of dignity based on God's worthiness. It is not condoning sin to treat others with dignity. Remember to recognize that your own sinfulness before God beats anyones sin against you. Let that inspire humility.

Remember that everyone on the planet capable of thinking clearly can see the sin of others. Only those with the love of Christ within can cover it with the love of God. Love covers a multitude of sins. WE HAVE THAT LOVE INSIDE US. We won't judge someone by one sin (like homosexuality) but recognize that WE have a huge range of sins that are forgiven so we can forgive a huge range of sins--they do not have to be our particular bad ones (materialism, gluttony, lust of the eyes, pride of life.) We extend grace because we have grace and we know how good it feels.

All of my friends are sinners and all of my enemies are sinners. I bless them all (on my good days.) I recognize what a sinner I am and so I do not take pleasure in identifying someone else's sin and feeling better than they are (actually, that is not true, because I do find myself in wrongful pride thinking I am better than someone else because maybe .... I like green drinks and they only drink cola. But I drink cola, too! ha!)

So I hope I have displayed enough of my own sinfulness to show this is not a diatribe (what does that word mean, anyway?) against YOU, friend. This is a call to US to love one another. Love God first then love one another. Let that great love pour out to those who haven't yet tasted the Lord. And let's make that taste a good one, but if it offends, let them be offended. Let them accuse. We have a wealth of love and acceptance and we can let that slide off our backs and cover it with love. We can stand there filled with God's love for us and extend it with our expression, our stance, and our words (if you are quick enough to be that good with words! Don't we all wish we had thought of something great to say in the moment!) Love Love Love.

God's Kingdom is at hand. Oh, how He loves us.

Oh Lord- we love Your presence. Everything is made right in Your Presence. We love you and ever hunger for more, although we can barely stand in Your Glory. Strengthen our knees-- make us to stand in Your Presence. Oh delight of our souls, Desire of the Nations, breathe on us. Drench us. Bring Your Tsunami. We worship YOU! We reach out our hands for You. Glorious Beloved, You are so beautiful. More lovely than words. We melt for You.

Peace is powerful warfare

I struggled with peace last year and had more problems with confusion and defeat, but peace is powerful warfare against the enemy of our souls because we are centered in Jesus. Jesus is my rock and He held me, but I had very limited access to His manifest presence. I was walking around in the world I experienced before I came to Christ. He seemed unreal. I was battling unbelief. Still, I KNEW that His promises would get me through. I insisted to Him in prayer that He promised that His grace was sufficient for me, so He had to see me through.

I remembered that my cup is OVERFLOWING, that His burdens are light, that nothing is impossible with Him. That is mercies are new every morning and that He never leaves me. The challenges in my mind were intense. And it is glorifying Him in the midst of the storms that really grounded me in the truth of His Kingdom reality which is greater than my experiences. My behavior was not lovely and I was terribly inefficient, but I was loved and carried.

and whenever I am discouraged, I consider the battles my friends in Kenya endure daily. The little children in the villages without much food or without their parents and the old and sick without medical care or comfort. These put my own suffering in perspective, til I always seem to be able to look around me and say, "These are not problems." Others may be experiencing something I do consider a real problem..... the death of a child, severe pain in the body, circumstances that appear to have no solution, or multiple crisis situations that overwhelm the capacity to carry on daily. I extend comfort and I pray for their comfort and circumstancial solutions AND ETERNAL SALVATION. God is always faithful, but it doesn't always feel hopeful. Yet....we set our heart fully on the grace to be given us when Jesus Christ appears (http://bible.cc/1_peter/1-13.htm multiple beautiful versions.) I praise God that Jesus revealed Himself to ME! He can get me through anything.

After going through a VERY serious storm--a hurricane, I looked around and saw such destruction. It had not touched me but seeing 1000 on my side and 10,000 at my right hand and it not coming near me still seemed threatening. And I realized I needed to go deeper. January came and God answered my prayer and made me hungry for only HIM. I put away my ministry thoughts and my goals, dreams, and desires to be sure everything was only focused on HIM and HIS GLORY alone. I prepared my heart acknowledging that I am set apart for Him. He was faithful to show up and shower me with love and His Presence. Come near to God and He will come near to you. Resist the devil and He will flee from you.

We cannot just name the name of Jesus, we have to come humbly and repent. We have to see our sin in light of God's holiness and under the safety of the cleansing blood of Jesus, we admit that we have this sin in our heart. We allow the life of Christ to come live through us. This drives the devil away. He cannot stand humility. Demons cannot stand the presence of Jesus!

Although I have often commanded demons to leave, I realize that it is the flesh which must be crucified. All those struggles we have are rooted in our flesh. I think one new lesson (among many) is my critical judgment. I studied a book by Francis Frangipane (http://www.amazon.com/Three-Battlegrounds--Depth-Spiritual-Heavenly/dp/1886296383/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1359478925&sr=1-1&keywords=francis+frangipane ) that showed me that my discernment is evil--and I have grown in discernment and studied ways to read body language and understand behavior and prayed and asked God to show me this or that---and it was rooted in my desire to understand the world and control my environment. I WASN'T LOOKING WITH THE LOVE OF GOD!

In the past several years (maybe my whole Christian walk,) God has been training me to love others, serve others, submit to others and that love covers a multitude of sins. He has shown me that often when He shows me the sin of another, that it is to reflect upon that VERY sin within me. BUT this book helped me take it another step deeper that Jesus has been TRYING to speak and I wasn't willing to listen because I was defending myself. Across this last year, He has been emphasizing that I am to DIE for another person's sin. I am to SO INTERCEDE for their sins that I would die for them as He did. Okay, suddenly, NOT having critical judgment seems FAR EASIER because I acknowlege that I have not grown so Christlike as to die for someone else's sins. I still struggle when people are mean to me, although New Yorkers are helping me throw that one off easily since interaction with strangers here could leave plenty of room for personal offence---AND makes an easy practice ground for loving others when they are rude. (because there is not much invested in a stranger, so it is so easy to just forgive them and love them. but those people in your life? oh we expect so much deference and RESPECT , right?!?)

With Les Miserables out, I am reminded of the book and the most beautiful part where the priest says, "But Jean, you have forgotten the candlesticks I gave you." How beautiful is that. Jean injured the priest and stole from him, the priest not only forgives, HE GIVES MORE. Oh Jesus, so like you. Come and let us do spiritual warfare by allowing You to conform us into Your image. You, Oh Lord, are not shaken up when others mistreat you, YOU HAVE PEACE AND YOU GIVE MORE. So, let us fight the demons who have found a place in us by giving them no place but displacing them with the Holy Spirit living through us.

All Glory to You, Jesus, for Your Glorious Kingdom of Love! Come and Reign in our life here, Lord. Your Kingdom come and Your will be done, here in ME. Because you are EVERYTHING!
You reign in me. You reign over all the earth.

Another good book by Francis Frangipane:

and this was the one referring to repentance from critical judgment:

and here is a great CD for worshipping Jesus--very loud and overly complicated music at times, but exalting Jesus:

Missionary

A missionary is a member of a religious group sent into an area to do evangelism or ministries of service, such as education, literacy, social justice, health care and economic development.[1][2] The word "mission" originates from 1598 when the Jesuits sent members abroad, derived from the Latin missionem (nom. missio), meaning "act of sending" or mittere, meaning "to send".[3] The word was used in light of its biblical usage; in the Latin translation of the Bible, Christ uses the word when sending the disciples to preach in his name. The term is most commonly used for Christian missions, but can be used for any creed or ideology.[4]

God called me as a missionary in 1988.

Donations for our Library

Eight awesome books-plus there are two other children's books I received.  I posted that pic to facebook, too. In addition, Christa received a Midwife village medical book. Posted here are three village medical books. God willing, we are going to raise up some serious medical workers to bless the needy community!
