Oscar donates to improve futures

The man is known as Ezekiel Waka and he comes from Emusanda area. He is a 25-year old young man that stays with his mother. His dad died in 1992 in a road accident when Ezekiel was still at a tender age. Ezekiel was then forced to stay with his aunt because the mother was not in a position to provide for him and his two young siblings as she was a mere house wife with no job. His schooling ended when he was in grade 7 because of the mistreatments from his aunt, like doing house work but going without food. He resolved at working for people in their farms and getting something for his mother and the other siblings to put on the table. I have been watching him do this for some years and it is with this valid evidence that I went to him and requested to interrogate him on what he is anticipating to involve himself in doing so that his life undergoes a transformation to a better one. He was such a good man and did not turn down my request. He perfected explained to me that he was willing to rare a good number of hens so that with time, they multiply and earn him some good money after selling the grown chicks especially during festive seasons but he only had one hen. It was a surprise for him when I told him that I would offer him some money to buy six hens so that he begins with seven. I went round with him and we were fortunate enough to get them at five hundred each. We also got one that had its eggs. Ezekiel was very happy to receive these gifts and he said that God was really changing his life to a better level through the blessings. You can imagine that Ezekiel is 25 but not married, I was a little suspicious about that and he explained to me that this has been due to the unstable condition that his family has. He has to toil to make ends meet. These hens will really boost him especially now that it is the beginning of 2012, thus the beginning of blessings to him as he puts it. We have been meeting in several occasions and what thrilled me in this man was his humbleness, self-esteem and above all he knows who God is in his life. He stays well with his mother and the mother was grateful to have us around because there is a lot she benefited and that she cannot imagine life without God, He has been blessing them day in day out. She requested us to be making follow-ups so that there is a constant apprehension to God’s work. Upon reception of these fabulous gifts, Ezekiel had the prospects of expounding it so that he buys goats and thereafter a cow and improves their living standards. He really prayed for the hands that blessed him and God’s blessings forever more.

Alice is the name of the lady that I identified to stand the second chance of enjoying these blessings. She lives at her home that is just approximately 200 meters from Shibuli market. She is married to a man called Mtenyo. She is jobless and the husband too is jobless and live with a family of five. The husband works for people for them to at least have a meal on the table. He can sometimes miss to get a place to work and that means that the entire family survives without food and other household commodities on that day. I happened to meet the firstborn of this family-Boniface- in our usual youth meetings in church and God directed me to know where he comes from. I went at his home and Alice welcomed us warmly. I had some good time with them. It was during this visit that I learned much from them as far as their daily survival is concerned. At that moment, I could do nothing but just to pray for them that God remembers them at their point of need. Since God opens ways mysteriously, it was also through you and me that her blessings were coming. It is amazing that you were not there with me but it is like you accompanied me during the visit and listened to the story! I then went there after receiving the money and talked to her trying to inquire on what she had in mind in case somebody gave her seven hundred shillings. She was not hesitant to honestly say that she would start a business of buying and selling tomatoes, onions, fish, matchboxes, royco, tealeaves, and dagaa. She clearly elaborated that she had a little money but it was absolutely not enough to make the required capital. Instantly, I presented her with the seven hundred shillings. Alice was so happy; she jumped up and down and thanked the Almighty God for all the providence and promised to assist her husband in bringing up their family in a more improved living standard. She promised to dedicate her deliberate hard work on the business so that she never in any way lives like before. She then organized to go and acquire the items. She bought the items and she now proudly sells them besides the road next to her home.

A part from that, the community computer training has also enrolled new students; Mzee Raphael Indoshi (one of our church elders aged 60 years), Evans Masitsa, Caroline Aching’ and Wilson Mulama. They sat for their introduction examination and performed as shown. Raphael – 50%, Evans – 75%, Caroline – 72% and Wilson – 61%. They are now on Ms. Word and are showing determination especially Raphael despite his old age. He is an inspiration to young people around this place who perhaps thought that they were too old to study. He has always embraced the teachers during the lessons in the morning because of his active participation in class. Join me in praying that God opens doors for sponsors to come in and assist in making this training grow to greater prospects so that more people benefit by acquiring computer knowledge.

Lastly, Psalms 115:13 says that He will bless everyone who honors Him, the great and the small alike. Amen.
