Erick and I have been teaching the mid morning class on
introduction to computers from the introduction bit to the end of the package.
Here is the flow of topics that we covered Definition of computers, uses
,computer system, history and evolution of computers, parts of computer, input
&output devices, computer classification, storage devices, network,
keyboard layout, computer software, computer safety & health issues and
finally factors to consider when choosing an operating system that we wound up
yesterday on Thursday .
On the same Thursday afternoon we came up with an exam
that they have done. We distributed and supervised the exam on Friday.
Health and Nutrition
Since we had books that we’ve been revising under health,
we were privileged to share out what each one of us has learned. I majored on
sickness i.e. malaria since it is the most sickness that affect young children
I shared with them the causes of malaria ,ways of transmission and the preventive measures that
should be taken. Dorcus majored on ear
infections, finally Carolyn studied on nutrition. We will have time to share
with the guardian plus the sponsored children over the same topics on
distribution day.
